What is Poor Posture?
Poor posture is any posture where your spine is not in its normal anatomical position. For instance when you slouch, stoop, poke your head forward or have a tendency to lean to one side for long periods of time during the day.
What causes Poor Posture?
Poor posture can be caused by:
- Incorrect methods of lifting
- Doing one activity for long periods of time
- Poor seating adjustments
- Crossing your legs whilst sitting
- Incorrect computer height
- Incorrect desk heights
- Muscle imbalance (A mix of stronger and weaker muscles in your back)

Subjective

Objective
An assessment of your posture in sitting, standing, walking and whilst carrying out various tasks, range of movement in your back, and if necessary neck and arms, range of pain and muscle strength.
