Our massage techniques

Our massage techniques include:
  • Acupressure »

Acupressure is a massage technique that has similar properties to acupuncture. It is used to pinpoint trigger points within the body that can cause pain and stiffness and may need releasing.

  • Cupping »

Cupping is an ancient massage technique that is applied onto the certain parts of body that focuses on separating the tissues to gain some extensibility of the tissues. It can be used instead of acupuncture needles as it has similar effects.

  • Kneading »

Kneading is the process of a manual therapy technique that is applied as part of petrissasge techniques that is usually applied after effleurage after the tissues have been warmed up and stimulated.

  • Trigger point »

Trigger point techniques are an invaluable technique to specialists as it allows them to understand where pain and discomfort may originate. Trigger point therapy is designed to release the structures that could be causing lack of flexibility, range of movement and pain.

  • Myofascial release »

Myofascia is a dense tissue structure that covers all the muscles within the body. This structure is prone to injuries just like muscles and can become stiff and can limit range of movement. Myofascial release focuses on stretching this structure to gain extensibility.

  • Effleurage »

Effleurage is in most cases always the first technique used in all massages as it uses slight touch to stimulate the sensory receptors within the skin that prepares individuals for further massage.

  • Rolling »

Rolling is similar to Myofascial release as it picks up the skin which helps to stretch out the superficial and deeper structures. This technique is particularly useful in those individuals that have a build-up on tension.

  • Lymphatic drainage »

Lymphatic massage is a very gentle massage that stimulates the lymph system and helps it to maintain its functions of transporting substances around the body effectively.

  • Petrissage »

Petrissage consists of different techniques that are usually applied after effleurage in order for the individual to attain all its benefits. Petrissage can be superficial or deep depending on what is recommended or wanted by the individual.
